Poem: Bakhmut is a place of little strategic importance

We know, because Zelensky just said so

As the retreating soldiers wearily plod their way though muddy tank tracks

Back home from Bakhmut today ¹

Zelensky seeks out the media and hastens to say,  

“Bakhmut is a place of little strategic importance” -

Zelensky assures us of that, make no mistake,

Bakhmut was nothing but a tiny spot of fly shit on a hanging sticky fly ribbon

Ukraine was at NO TIME ever driven to defend it

Waste time, energy, precious dwindling ammunition on it,

Least of all Ukrainian soldiers’ lives –

gobbled up in the meat grinder at ten times the rate of Russian losses!

(While we answer to our bosses in the USA/NATO and the EU -

who endlessly tell us what to do! )

The total now of lost Ukrainian soldiers numbers 207,000 as at March 2023 -

While the Russians march on to certain Victory-

Strangely,  I seem to hear an echo in my head

Of something I was positive Zelensky yesterday said,

Something about “the fight for Bakhmut will change the tragic story of our war for

 independence and of freedom.”

Hmmm….

When with studied importance, he handed out medals like meaningless lollies

to his uniformed soldiers,

dressed in his customary olive green battle fatigues

Feigning melancholy, melodramatically the War Commandant’s stance

Getting them all to sign the Ukrainian flag of presentation

for The Fine Ladies of USA when he addressed the Congress: ²

Speaker of the House and Vice President -

esteemed politicians Nancy Pelosi and Kamala Harris -

So if, perchance, the loss of Bakhmut does not embarrass

the great Nazi-allied wartime leader

Surely nothing would please him more than the Wagner Musicians

taking it off his hands?  

It does after all, lie in Donbass lands -

Chockas full of Russian speakers whom he can’t abide -

He told them all to fuck off,

go live in Russia where their subhuman type ought to reside -

So, no disgrace, chuck Bakhmut in the bin and hand it over, post haste,

to Yevgeny Prigozhin

He’s quite happy to take the Bakhmut citizens into Putin’s fold, on his behalf,

And Zelensky, I’m speaking to you: You know, you’re a complete failure,

an utter joke, nothin’ but a lackey sidin’ with Biden, a filthy Russophobic racist,

a corrupt money launderer, a cocaine addicted prick sniffling and snorting your way

through every CIA scripted speech at the microphone,

rotten to the core and bad to the bone, a sleazebag, slimy ham actor,

a has-been as well, a greedy mongrel, an absolute arsehole,

a nudie dancer who’s a waste of space and a disgrace to the presidential position,

and what’s more, shove this in your cake-hole:

Yevgeny had the last laugh!
